We are seeking a diligent and professional Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating project drawings to produce accurate take-offs and quotations, reflecting the client's requirements. This role is ideal for someone with a "can-do" attitude and a commitment to precision in their work.
Day-to-day of the role:
Evaluate drawings to produce an accurate take-off/mark-up of the project.
Generate precise quotations that align with the clients' specifications.
Communicate with customers via telephone and email to address any queries professionally and promptly.
Collaborate with colleagues within the Sales & Estimating department to enhance the chances of securing the project.
Monitor the workload and effectively prioritise tasks in consultation with the Sales & Estimating Supervisor/Manager.
Update the internal 4P system to accurately reflect the status of each enquiry/quotation.
Perform additional tasks and duties as requested by the Sales & Estimating Supervisor/Manager.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Professional communication skills, both oral and written, with colleagues, customers, and associated parties.
Diligence and attention to detail in producing accurate quotations.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely to all levels of customers.
A positive "can-do" approach to all aspects of the role.
Understanding of the importance of accuracy in quotations, considering commercial factors that may impact business acquisition.
