We are seeking a driven, ambitious and enthusiastic Senior Buyer. The ideal candidate will be adept at price negotiations, supplier management and stock control.

With a strong growth plan and increasing turnover our client are looking for a dedicated Senior Buyer to join the team and help achieve targets. This role is based near Durham in a new office facility and offers hybrid working, funded training and the opportunity to develop and progress.
Description
- Negotiate with key suppliers to improve pricing and stock holding term
- Identify, manage, and mitigate risks in the supply chain.
- Managing supplier relationships and maintaining good communications.
- Ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies.
- Forecasting market trends and making procurement decisions accordingly.
- Coordinating with other departments to ensure smooth operation.
- Tracking procurement KPIs and reporting to management.
Profile
A successful Senior Buyer should have:
- Proven experience in procurement for a minimum of 3 years.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to forge relationships with suppliers.
- Excellent understanding of market dynamics and sound business judgement.
- Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems.
- Driven to succeed and progress
Job Offer
- An estimated annual salary of £40,000 - 45,000, depending on experience.
- Funded training (CIPS).
- Monday - Friday 8.30am - 4pm, hybrid working following successful completion of probation (2 days WFH)
- 23 day holidays + birthday off + bank holidays
