We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Litigation Paralegal to join us and provide comprehensive support to a busy barristers office. The ideal candidate will have a passion for litigation, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the barrister with case preparation for hearings, trials, and appeals
- Conduct legal research
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, witness statements, and correspondence
- Organize and manage eletronic case files, ensuring that all documents are up to date and filed correctly
- Liaise with solicitors, courts, clients, and other parties involved in cases
- Be the direct contact point for clients and new business
- Attend court hearings and take notes as required
- Manage deadlines and coordinate the barrister's calendar and commitments
- Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
Key Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in litigation
- Strong knowledge of legal research databases and litigation processes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel,)
- Ability to work independently
