Pertemps is thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity for a proactive and motivated individual to join the Mayor's team as a Mayoralty Services Administrator within the London Borough of Harrow. This role provides a competitive pay rate of £15.39 - £16.86 PAYE per day. Additional benefits include accruing up to 28 days of holiday per year (including Bank Holidays) and the opportunity to apply for any internal permanent roles within Harrow Council.
Responsibilities:
Provide excellent administrative support services in line with statutory requirements and relevant policies and procedures for the Mayor's office.
Collaborate with colleagues across the council to develop, implement, and monitor systems and processes to ensure efficient and seamless service delivery.
Respond to routine telephone, email, and written queries and enquiries, signposting as appropriate or forwarding messages to relevant colleagues.
Undertake high-level support processes, including producing confidential or sensitive documents and correspondence.
Provide a range of administrative support functions to projects across the service area as required, including tracking actions, keeping records, collating information, diary management, setting up meetings, producing agendas, and minute-taking.
Organize service-specific meetings and events as required, including booking venues, catering, and equipment, and liaising with involved parties.
Requirements:
Prioritize tasks to ensure timely completion.
Investigate and address minor customer complaints, escalating to the line manager when necessary.
Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Organize public events attended by the Mayor.
