Our client is a leading NHS Trust in London which has an opportunity for an experienced Systems Accountant to join the team for 12 months while they work through a merger and integrate their financial systems.
Working closely with the Head of Financial Management and the Financial Integration Lead, you will play a crucial role in aligning the data, comparing the charts of accounts and mapping the hierarchy, as they prepare to integrate the financial systems. Working in conjunction with the software consultants, the financial data will need to be brought together. Post integration of the systems, the emphasis of the work will move to unpicking, correcting and amending the issues that arise to ensure that the system runs smoothly in the future and serves the needs of the financial team in discharging their duties. Ideally, you should be a qualified accountant, or equivalent, but what will be most important is that you have significant experience operating as the finance systems manager in an equivalently large and complex organisation. You should have financial expertise in addition to systems administration exposure.
Ideally you would have worked with eFinancials or Agresso/Unit 4 in the past, but a similar large scale system might also suit. Experience of working within the NHS or wider public sector would be very helpful. Strong organisation, prioritisation and communication skills will also be important as you will be working with a range of people.
