Regional Operations Manager Nights

Interaction Recruitment - Logistics and Driving are currently working in partnership with a national distribution company who are looking for a Regional Operations Manager to join their team on a PERMANENT basis.

Salary - £42,000 + £4,000 Bonus (Performance)

Hours - 40 hours per week

Times - 16:00 to 00:30 / 6pm to 02:30 (flexible)

Site Bases - Sheffield and Leeds

29 Days Annual Holiday

Key Responsibilities:

- Fleet Management: Oversee the maintenance, scheduling, and operation of a 50-vehicle fleet, ensuring vehicles are in optimal condition and routes are efficiently planned.

- Route Coordination: Manage and coordinate 50 daily routes, ensuring timely and efficient deliveries and pickups while optimising route performance.

- Warehouse Operations: Supervise nightly warehouse activities, including inventory management, order fulfilment, and logistics coordination to ensure smooth operations.

- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of drivers, warehouse staff, and supervisors, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

- Performance Monitoring: Track and analyse key performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

- Compliance and Safety: Ensure all operations comply with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards, promoting a culture of safety and compliance.

- Issue Resolution: Address and resolve any operational issues or disruptions promptly, maintaining continuity and minimising downtime.

- Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on operational performance, challenges, and strategic initiatives.

- Budget Management: Manage the operational budget, ensuring cost-effective operations and adherence to financial targets.

Qualifications:

- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management, with a focus on fleet management, logistics, and warehouse operations. Night shift management experience is a plus.

- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.

- Organisational Skills: Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities, a keen eye for detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

- Communication: Effective communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working with diverse teams and addressing issues promptly.

- Technical Skills: Proficiency in using computer software and experience with fleet management and warehouse management software.

- Flexibility: Willingness to work night shifts, including weekends, as the operational schedule requires.

- Driving: Full UK Driving License with no more than six penalty points and no endorsements.
