The Opportunity

Salary: £41,418 to £44,428 per annum

Working Pattern: Full time, 37 hours per week

Base Location: County Hall, Chichester, hybrid working from home available

Interview date: w/c 08 July 2024

Working as part of a team, as the Senior Business Improvement Officer, you will provide technical expertise and leadership on the implementation of innovation and new ways of working, including identifying opportunities for efficiency, reducing costs and improving service delivery.

You will be working closely with a range of internal and external stakeholders to design and deliver high quality business improvement and change outcomes within target timescales. This will involve working both independently and collaboratively to undertake a range of shaping, planning, reporting and analytical activity to discover relevant information about current service(s), provide input to new design models, assess options and draft proposals, track progress, and identify and mitigate risks, issues and dependencies in support of programme and continuous improvement delivery.

You will provide detailed advice and guidance, including responding to queries and problems, and influencing and persuading individuals through the development of effective relationships in a challenging and complex environment.

What are we looking for?

As the successful Senior Business Improvement Officer, you will:

  • Have a keen interest and background in business improvement and change activities, along with a positive can-do attitude, commitment, tenacity, and drive.
  • Have experience of service redesign, transformation, and change management, demonstrating full analysis of the impacts of change including assessment of the financial and service benefits.
  • Be able to assimilate complex information and establish credibility with a diverse range of stakeholders across all levels.
  • Be able to provide significant analytical input through the use of data and support to assigned change initiatives, working both independently and collaboratively with colleagues to deliver outputs to a high standard and planned timescales.
  • Be able to quickly establish favourable networks and build relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Drawing on your expertise, you will influence and persuade others to embed operational change in a challenging and complex environment.
