FP&A Analyst

Robert Half Finance and Accounting are currently looking to recruit an FP&A Analyst to join an exciting Professional Services company experiencing huge growth based in central Bristol. For the right person the client is offering a very competitive:

£55,000 - £65,000 plus excellent benefits including bonus and hybrid remote working

Role responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Provide insight to drive action within the business, completing scenario modelling efforts for the improvement of company performance across a wide range of areas, including analysis versus comp set performance
  • Define clear criteria to identify underperforming assets and, working cross functionally, support the improvement in performance of these assets over time
  • Support the FP&A team on wider change programmes and improvements - driving and implementing improvements with internal and external stakeholders
  • Through variance and trend analysis, identify forecast gaps and improve ongoing forecast accuracy
  • Provide a continuous feedback loop regarding accuracy of forecast, and maintain a log of risks and opportunities within the plan
  • Support the annual business planning process through critical review of asset level performance
  • Updating key reports required by the business on a monthly and quarterly basis to support strategic decisions (e.g. gross operating profit reporting, return on sale)
  • Maintaining data within business modelling system to ensure the accuracy and integrity of information available to the business

Person specification:

  • CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified
  • Currently in a commercially focused finance role
  • Experience of problem solving and finding causality in numbers
  • Experience of creating and running processes and reports
  • Passionate and positive financial practitioner who wants to make a difference and contribute to the continuous improvement of the business processes and results through a structured way of working that challenges current practices
  • Be able to analyse a range of information sources but be able to quickly identify the key variables and scenarios that will determine the success of a decision
  • Strong acumen for numbers and logical problems, you should have good commercial insight and communication skills and with the confidence to challenge others to improve company performance
