Our client is a growing life sciences business who seek to hire an Assistant Accountant. The role will offer a breadth of financial and management accounting responsibilities and will suit an active studier or a QBE profile. The Assistant Accountant supports the finance team on day-to-day activities, including ownership of month end and year end processes, VAT reporting (locally and overseas), and balance sheet reconciliations. The role contributes to the delivery of the accurate monthly management accounts and year end statutory financial statements on a timely basis.
Responsibilities will include:
Key contributor to delivery of the month end close process and management accounts, including several legal entities across multiple countries.
Ownership of balance Sheet reconciliations and variance analysis.
Maintain intercompany trading and sundry balances; following up and clearing down differences.
Maintain fixed asset registers.
Preparation of data for foreign subsidiaries' routine VAT and Intrastat filings.
Preparation of data for foreign subsidiaries' local statutory accounts
Sales reporting for the EMEA region, including deferred revenue calculations and reconciliations.
Supporting role in year end and interim EMEA group audit in support of the US audit with external auditors.
A salary of £30,000-£35,000 is on offer plus benefits.
