Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Senior. The successful candidate will manage a diverse client portfolio and handle various accounting tasks, including year-end accounts, corporation tax, VAT returns, and personal tax returns. This role requires a professional with a broad range of experience in a small to medium-sized accountancy practice and a proven track record of managing client portfolios and direct client interactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring all accounting and tax requirements are met.
  • Prepare and review year-end accounts, corporation tax returns, VAT returns, and personal tax returns.
  • Maintain and develop strong client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact.
  • Provide expert advice and support to clients on various accounting and tax matters.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Assist with business development activities and identify opportunities for growth within the client base.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an accountancy practice.
  • Recently qualified or in the final stages of professional qualifications (e.g., ACA, ACCA).
  • Extensive experience in managing client portfolios and direct client interactions.
  • Strong knowledge of year-end accounts, corporation tax, VAT returns, and personal tax returns.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
