People Advisor
- **3 Month Contract***
£27,000 - £28,000 per annum pro rate
We are seeking an experienced People Advisor to join the HR team. This is a great opportunity to provide a high standard, solution-focused and value-adding HR service to support the achievement of our organisational aims and objectives.
The key responsibilities include:
- Delivering an excellent recruitment and onboarding service for paid and volunteer roles
- Providing first-line advice on HR matters such as recruitment, absence management, performance management and compliance checks
- Proactively contacting new recruits to support their onboarding journey and induction
- Administering job adverts and utilising job boards
- Processing applications and maintaining recruitment records
- Ensuring all pre-employment checks are completed per employment legislation and policies
- Providing advisory support to line managers and employees on HR policies and procedures
- Advising on attendance management initiatives and occupational health referrals
- Offering guidance on maternity, paternity, adoption and parental leave
- Carrying out exit interviews and producing absence reports
- Managing recruitment, volunteer and employee documentation in line with GDPR requirements
The ideal candidate will possess:
- CIPD Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience
- Considerable HR department experience, particularly in recruitment campaigns
- Good knowledge of employment law and its application
- Excellent administrative, communication and organisational skills
- The ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines and handle sensitive matters
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
