Senior Social Worker - Older Adults

Our Client Hillingdon Council, is looking for a Senior Social Worker to join their Older Adults Team.

The post holder will support in undertaking statutory Care Act Assessments with Older People, clients with Physical Disabilities and helping to achieve the 28 day performance targets, whilst reducing the waiting time for new referrals. The post holder will also hold long term cases that are complex in nature and may include hoarding, non-engagers, DoLS challenges, court of protection work (e.g. welfare disputes, court applications).

The post will include the completion of six week reviews, Mental Capacity Assessments, Continuing Healthcare assessments and progression of Safeguarding cases which are solely allocated to Social Workers amongst the Team.

You will be a qualified, experienced Social Worker looking to progress their career or an accomplished Senior Social Worker, with a wide range of experience working with Older Adults and/or People with Disabilities. You will have developed your skills and knowledge with further post qualifying training and have specific experience with the relevant client group.

You will be innovative and creative with a willingness to explore new models of working to improve the outcomes for our service users. Moreover, you will be a highly motivated individual who is able to work as part of team, to build strong relationships to deliver the best possible outcomes for vulnerable people
