We are looking for a CNC Milling setter/operator to join our fast-paced manufacturing team in South Woodham Ferrers.
Key responsibilities and duties:
- Using various measuring equipment (Verniers / Micrometers / Height gauge / Shadowgraph etc.) to ensure all parts conform to customer standards.
- Setting a variety of mills, both 3 and 5 axis.
- Setting and proving out new programs and providing feedback to the programmer.
- Deburring work in cycle where possible.
- Read and understand engineering drawings.
- Maintaining general cleanliness and housekeeping standards.
- Ensure all work is completed in line with the production plan.
The ideal candidate must have:
- 5 years+ Milling experience.
- The ability to carry out first off, self-inspection and final inspection.
- Experience machining a wide range of materials.
- The ability to work and communicate within a team
- Experience setting 5 axis mills (desirable)
- Experience with Heidenhain controls (desirable)
