Sanctuary Personnel are looking for a Social & Digital Media content creator to work with Southwark Council. This is a full-time position, and we are paying £476.52 Paye and £620 Umbrella per hour for this role.
The role:
Southwark Council is seeking a dynamic and experienced Digital Communications Contractor to lead a two-month project aimed at improving our digital and social media output. This role will involve creating compelling content (end-to-end production and delivery) and developing and implementing strategies to boost engagement, increase reach, and effectively communicate the Council's initiatives and services.
Key Responsibilities:
Content creation: Produce high-quality, engaging content for various digital platforms, including social media, website, and email newsletters. This includes filming and photography out and about the borough of Southwark, acting as a "social media journalist".
Channel selection: Making sure the right content is on the right channel at the right time.
Social media management: Support the digital media officer to oversee daily social media activities, including posting, monitoring, and responding to comments and messages.
Content curation: Create and curate a library of content for future utilisation.
Analytics and reporting: Working with the digital media officer to track and analyse performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of digital campaigns and adjust strategies as needed.
Utilising stakeholder channels: Exploring how the Council can utilise digital and social channels beyond its own, such as community Facebook groups and partner's channels.
Training and handover: Provide training to staff on best practices in digital communications and ensure a smooth handover of ongoing projects and strategies at the end of the contract.
Applicant Requirements:
- Qualifications: GCSEs A-C or equivalent including at least English and Maths.
Educated to A Level standard or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 2+ years working within a similar role.
- Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
- Hours: 36 hours p/w.
