Our global client is a manufacturer of products and components used throughout the automated manufacturing and process industries. With international presence of more than 100 locations in over 70 countries they are a world recognised brand.

With a reputation for quality and innovation on the design and manufacture of both mechanical products and components as well as having their own semiconductor production processes, they are constantly looking to improve and build on their reputation.

Currently, they are looking to employ a Head of Lean Production on a global level.

Tasks will include

Improve operational efficiency

Compile a strategy for their Vacuum Pump manufacturing processes to improve operational efficiencies

Analyse data to identify operational trends and opportunities for improvement.

Set and maintain standards to meet the business needs of the company and helping to streamline operations and improve customer services.

Take full ownership of the product brand including integration of M&A, compliance with international standards ISO9000, TS16949, ISO14001, ISO45000 etc

Supporting a global revenue of $4bn across 6 division and 40+ product company and service centres internationally.

You will have

Ability to communicate at all levels with management and employees

A global understanding of cultural differences in manufacturing in other countries

Strong leadership capabilities and an ability to empower and influence.

Focus on quality and accuracy, deadlines and the ability to define problems, establish facts and draw conclusions.

Proactive in highlighting red flags, put action plans in place and promote open communications with all parties.

Flexibility to travel to multiple locations nationally and internationally on a regular basis.

Advanced knowledge of MSOffice suite, SAP, MES & PLM.

Proficient in English, written and spoken with ideally competence in other languages.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelors or higher (or professional qualification) in Engineering, Manufacturing, Science or related discipline.

Formal Lean certification within a business environment (Six Sigma/Shingo).

Experience

Proven ability to deliver large complex change programs.

Previous management experience in an engineering/manufacturing company.

Lead operational excellence and other improvement projects.

Successfully implemented Lean practices in a manufacturing environment.
