We are seeking a passionate History Teacher to join a dedicated team at a secondary school, in Hastings. This role is ideal for someone who has a deep love for history and a proven ability to inspire students from KS3 to KS4. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in raising educational standards within the classroom.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Deliver engaging and informative history lessons to students from KS3 to KS4.
  • Develop and implement innovative teaching methods to enhance student learning experiences.
  • Prepare lesson plans, lecture materials, and actively participate in school meetings.
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress of students and provide constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with other teaching staff to plan and coordinate lessons.
  • Participate in school events and activities related to the humanities department.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Specialist knowledge in History.
  • A drive for excellence and a desire to achieve outstanding results.
  • Highly organised, motivated, and driven to succeed.
  • Committed to the progress of all students.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with colleagues.
  • Strong presence, enthusiasm, and authority in the classroom.
  • Experience in teaching other humanities subjects, such as Geography, is desirable.
