LOCATION: Wiltshire - Some remote working

PACKAGE: £70-80K

WAY OF WORKING: Predominantly office based.

My client are a reputable family owned business with a superb reputation in their field.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

My clients data team leverage data-driven insights to enhance their services, optimize operations, and deliver personalized experiences. They are now seeking a visionary Head of Data to lead their data strategy and drive innovation in their data initiatives.

As the Head of Data, you will be responsible for overseeing the data operations and strategy. You will lead a team of data professionals, ensuring that their data infrastructure, analytics, and data science initiatives align with their business goals. Your role will involve collaborating with various departments to harness data insights that enhance customer experience, optimize processes, and drive business growth.

Key accountabilities:

  • Data Strategy and Leadership:- Develop and implement a comprehensive data strategy that aligns with the company's goals and objectives. - Lead and mentor the data team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. - Champion data-driven decision-making across the organization.
  • Data Management and Governance: - Oversee the collection, storage, management, and analysis of data. - Ensure data quality, integrity, security, and compliance with relevant regulations. - Develop and enforce data governance policies and standards.
  • Data Analytics and Insights: - Drive the use of advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI to extract actionable insights from data. - Collaborate with all areas such as marketing, operations, product, and customer service teams to provide data insights that inform strategic decisions. - Develop and maintain dashboards and reports that provide real-time insights into key performance metrics.
  • Technology and Infrastructure: - Oversee the selection and implementation of data tools and technologies. - Ensure the scalability, reliability, and efficiency of data infrastructure. - Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in data science and analytics.
  • Collaboration and Communication: - Act as a liaison between the data team and other departments, ensuring alignment and understanding of data initiatives. - Communicate complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner. - Present data-driven insights and recommendations to senior leadership

Key Skills required:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field. - Proven experience in a senior data leadership role, preferably within the travel or hospitality industry.
  • Strong knowledge of data governance, data architecture, and data management best practices. - Expertise in data analytics, machine learning, and AI. - Proficiency with data tools and technologies (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Hadoop, Spark, Tableau, PowerBI).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to translate complex data insights into actionable business strategies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
