Legal Counsel role - Birmingham city centre (hybrid/flex - 2 day in the office) - salary up to £65,000
Joining a small growing legal team, you will support the Head of Legal in providing pragmatic, timely legal advice on a range of key matters.
- Draft, negotiate and advise on a range of commercial contracts - customer, sales, tech, outsourcing, t&c's etc
- Design and implement policies and processes to drive efficiencies
- Manage legal compliance - DP, regulatory, governance
- Advise on wider issues as and when - HR, disputes, risk, ESG
- Manage external counsel where appropriate

We are looking for a qualified solicitor or legal executive with 3+ years PQE gained either in-house or in a commercial team at a law firm to join as Legal Counsel.
You will be able to pick up the commercial contract works particularly with projects coming down the pipeline, however be keen handle a much broader diet of work in a regulated sector.
Experience of IT contracts and/or an appreciation or understanding of the FCA rules in a commercial context would be useful.
