PCB Layout Engineer Permanent Full-Time

Salary - Circa £37,000 DOE
Location - Manchester

Fluxia is seeking a talented PCB Layout Engineer to join our team in Manchester. As a key member of our electronics design team, you'll be responsible for translating schematic designs into reliable and manufacturable printed circuit boards (PCBs) using industry-leading tools.

Responsibilities, but are not limited to

  • Collaborate closely with electronics design engineers to understand design requirements and constraints
  • Design and optimize PCB layouts using industry-standard tools such as Altium Designer or Cadence Allegro
  • Ensure PCB designs meet electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing requirements, including signal integrity and thermal management
  • Implement best practices for high-speed digital and analogue PCB layout techniques
  • Conduct design reviews and provide feedback to improve overall design quality and manufacturability
  • Work closely with PCB fabrication and assembly vendors to ensure successful production of PCBs
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in PCB layout techniques and technologies

Experiences required

  • 2 to 5 Years proven experience in PCB layout design, preferably in a high-tech industry
  • Proficiency in using PCB layout tools such as Altium Designer or Cadence Allegro
  • Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and PCB manufacturing processes
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field
