Drama Teacher

Are you a passionate Drama Teacher looking for a new opportunity? Zest Education is seeking a dedicated individual to be part of a dynamic and supportive environment that values creativity and innovation in teaching.

The school is in the Bartley Green area of Birmingham. You would be working full-time within a supportive arts faculty at a successful secondary school known for its commitment to diversity and excellence. The role is set to start in January 2025 (or earlier if possible) and will run until the end of the academic year.

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging drama lessons that inspire and motivate students.
- Assess and provide feedback on student work to support their learning and growth.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters student participation and success.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.
- Stay up-to-date with current educational trends and best practices in drama education.

To apply for this role, you will need:

  • QTS - Qualified Teacher status in Drama/Performing Arts (ECT's, formerly known as NQT's, are encouraged to apply)
  • Excellent subject knowledge of drama in Key Stages 3 (KS3) and 4 (KS4) is essential
  • Excellent behaviour and classroom management skills
  • A strong school reference from your recent employer/placement

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
