My client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join their team at a leading window and doors manufacturing company. The Estimator will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs of materials, labour, and equipment needed for window and door projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction processes, excellent mathematical skills, and the ability to interpret blueprints and technical specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Analyse project specifications and blueprints to prepare accurate cost estimates
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and suppliers to gather necessary information for estimates
- Evaluate material and labour costs to determine project budgets
- Prepare and submit detailed proposals to clients
- Monitor project progress and adjust estimates as needed
- Maintain accurate records of estimates and project documentation
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and pricing to ensure competitive estimates
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
- Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry, preferably in window and doors manufacturing
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of construction software and estimating tools
