Relationship Manager

Our client, a prestigious international bank with a dynamic presence in the London market, is seeking an experienced Financial Institutions (FI) Relationship Manager. This role, reporting directly to the Head of the Financial Institutions Department, presents a prime opportunity to spearhead the expansion and enhancement of the bank's FI customer base, including banks, NBFIs, brokers, asset managers, insurance companies, and more. As a pivotal member of the team, you will drive revenue through various financial services and products, fostering strong professional relationships within the financial sector.

  • *Key Responsibilities**
  • *Client Management:**

- Cultivate a core business circle by identifying and engaging strategic FI customers within the London market.
- Enhance cooperation with existing clients and broaden the customer base through the active introduction of products, asset placement, and financial market transactions.
- Achieve business targets primarily through bilateral loans, fund finance, trade finance, syndicated loans, and FX opportunities in the FI market.

  • *Performance Management:**

- Actively pursue customer development and marketing initiatives, maintaining thorough weekly call reports.
- Establish professional relationships across the London Branch, Head Office, overseas branches, domestic branches, and other international platforms.
- Draft credit proposals reflecting FI clients' credit requirements, encompassing financial, risk, and industry analysis, and conduct periodic post-loan reviews.
- Manage the KYC and AML processes for FI counterparties and clients, ensuring compliance and thorough reviews.

  • *Other Responsibilities:**

- Collaborate with various departments to bolster network management and infrastructure provision.
- Contribute to branch projects and new product development, supporting system and product enhancements that boost the FI Department's productivity.
- Advocate for the continuous improvement of FI processes and policies, ensuring efficient and effective departmental operations.
- Ensure full compliance with the London Branch's internal requirements and guidelines.

  • *Qualification and Skills Required**

- A minimum of a Degree Holder in a relevant field.
- Proven experience in the UK market, particularly with FI clients.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin.
- Demonstrated ability to expand FI business in the current UK market.
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of effective collaboration at all organizational levels.
- Expertise in financial analysis and risk identification.
- A proactive and efficient work approach.

  • *Additional Information**

- Experience in trade finance, fund finance, or FI credit with familiarity with vanilla FI products will be highly regarded.
