Digital Communications Executive, 6 month contract

£30k to £40k pro rata

UK (home-based but with the ability to travel across southern England occasionally)

Initially focusing primarily on internal communications, this global business is looking for an experienced candidate (a few years' experience probably, with a relevant qualification) to develop, create and publish content for the intranet and, eventually, social media.

Managing and publishing articles, information and updates on the company's internal and external digital communication platforms and providing input into the corporate external-facing website and LinkedIn account.

Would suit someone with 2-3 years' experience who enjoys the hands-on delivery of digital communications and has ideally worked for a global business - clientside or agency.

You will work closely with the Communications Consultant (to whom this job reports) on communication priorities, identifying opportunities, drafting materials, and planning for successfully implementing business projects and change programmes.

You will also oversee and engage with the external agencies hosting digital channel platforms.

You'll primarily create and curate impactful campaigns that tap into and celebrate the business's warm culture.

Writing 500-750-word articles and posts that need little editing and tell the internal audiences the correct information will be an essential task for you.

Role requirements:

  • This position requires hands-on experience in looking after digital platforms, notably internal, in a matrix organisation with international connections.
  • You'll need
  • A bachelor's degree, preferably in communications/public relations or a related field, with a minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent writing and creative skills.
  • Hands-on experience of owning content across digital channels, including an intranet.
  • Competence in measurement, data, analytics and insight.
  • Proven ability to translate complicated messages into simple, engaging language.
  • Positive, proactive and resourceful team-player.
  • Experience in a pharmaceutical, healthcare, or other life science industry communications environment is advantageous, or in a highly regulated environment where you've dealt with technical data such as financial services, tech, oil and gas etc.

Ability to visit the offices on occasion, in Southern England.
