Join our vibrant team located in Leeds, where we are seeking a dedicated Nursery Nurse to inspire and support the development of our young learners. This is a full-time, day-to-day position.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Child Development: Utilize your expertise to support the holistic development of children aged 3 to 5, fostering their cognitive, emotional, and social growth.
  • Curriculum Implementation: Implement engaging and age-appropriate activities that align with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework to promote learning through play.
  • Individualized Support:Provide personalized care and attention to each child, understanding their unique needs and abilities, and offering appropriate support and encouragement.
  • Collaborative Learning Environment: Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every child feels valued and supported.
  • Parental Engagement: Foster strong partnerships with parents and caregivers, maintaining open communication channels to share progress, address concerns, and celebrate achievements.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure the safety and well-being of all children by adhering to safeguarding policies, maintaining a clean and secure environment, and promptly addressing any health or safety concerns.

Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one) is essential.
  • Relevant qualification in childcare or early years education (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) is desirable.
  • Previous experience working with young children, preferably within a nursery or early years setting.
  • Passion for working with children and helping them reach their full potential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
