The Buyer will have responsibility for maximising purchasing leverage and providing the most efficient and effective supply base to meet the needs of the business. The Buyer will provide a commercial framework that allows the business operation to run at a cost base that provides the best value whilst ensuring security of supply and flexibility. The Buyer will work closely with relevant procurement teams where applicable and establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with key internal stakeholders to gain an understanding of their needs to improve the service provided. What you'll need to succeed
We're looking for an experienced procurement professional, ideally with experience in the manufacturing industry, although this is not essential. Experience in planning or a services background would be advantageous.
You need to be confident with a proactive attitude. Ideally, you will be a member of CIPS, but this is not essential. A competitive salary of up to £35,000 per annum (dependent on experience) is on offer with some excellent benefits and development opportunities. Benefits include a defined contribution company pension scheme, up to 35 days annual leave, Life Assurance, a comprehensive Company sick pay scheme, Health Cash Plan and much more.
