Job Purpose:

The Data Warehouse Project Manager is responsible for the delivery of the EPR data warehouse strategy, development and management within the EPR Core Informatics team and manages the team of developers, leading them in the analysis, requirements, design, development, testing, enhancement, documentation, and ongoing support of development and reporting requests. They will need to work closely with the three Trust's data warehouse and technical teams to support their continuity of reporting, taking account of their local needs when developing any

plans. They will have extensive experience in data warehousing, SQL Server

Management Studio and data architecture.

Within the data warehouse team, the Data Warehouse Project Manager co-ordinates and develops project work plans, work breakdown structures and schedules, and ensures project deliverables are consistent with the overall programme objectives and strategic plans. They will also be responsible in conjunction with the other team members in the evaluation, selection, and integration of new technologies and report development tools especially for customer self-service.

They will need to currently understand business objectives, NHS statutory & contractual deliverables, questions and problems, and have the ability in obtaining and presenting data to address these.

Any delays in the delivery and testing to reporting and extracts would adversely affect the programme delivery so tight programme/performance management will be required. This is a key team management role within the EPR Business Intelligence Team. They will work with the members of the three trust's Informatics teams, EPR team and clinical and operational management teams to ensure a consistent approach to the implementation of the trust's digital and information reporting strategy.

Overview of Essential Responsibilities:

1. Leads the discussions with stakeholders to understand extremely complex reporting needs across multiple existing systems and sites. Applies EPR build and design expertise to analyse current business practices to enable full documentation and provide the recommended reporting solutions.

2. On completion of training will be the EPR programme expert in the data warehouse and will be pivotal in the overall analytics strategy as to its use and implementation.

3. You will be the EPR programme expert in interpretation and recommendations in the application of NHS Data dictionary and model standards for data warehouse development guidance.

4. Ensure that the full reporting system is configured to meet new best practice ways of working in order to achieve cash releasing and qualitative benefits with improved workflows whilst being compliant with statutory and contractual commitments. Work across application modules to meet integration needs and to ensure the full patient pathway is correctly supported by the system.

5. Is responsible for ensuring the multiple and cross system and application reports/extracts are delivered on time and accurately reflect the business requirements by being responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of specifications, leading in quality assurance testing of files/reports and ensuring timely delivery and coordination with the service line stakeholders.

6. Support the development of the cross trust EPR report design templates and methodology.

7. Ensures that the data warehouse team works to the EPR report design methodology.

8. Leads on audits to review the development process throughout the term of the programme and post implementation to provide assurance that the development is in line with the EPR report design methodology.

9. To manage the notification, escalation and remedy of potential data quality issues and to support the work with the relevant stakeholders to identify ways to mitigate these.

10.Responsible for ensuring documentation for projects, deliverables and report specifications are created and maintained in line with the programme progress.

11.Will be responsible for implementing and overall management of the EPR reporting tools security and access models within the data warehouse environment.

12.To lead any work with the team and stakeholders to solve problems and challenges in the front end or data warehouse build that have previously not been encountered by Meditech in the development of statutory and contractual returns. To document and present solutions to the BI Project Manager for sign off before any implementation work commences.

13.Works on highly complex, cross-functional, and enterprise IT and business intelligence solutions.

14.Works with stakeholders to translate their requirements into technical specifications.

15.Capable of providing highly complex, analysis for a wide range of requests using data in different formats and from various platforms.

16.Researches and investigates business problems and creates data models that help analyse these potentially complex business problems.

17.Directs and works with the testing team to develop test scripts against patient scenarios that will be out putted into the data warehouse across patient pathways and interfaces to other systems in accordance with the Testing Manager's instructions.

18.Lead the data warehouse upgrade process and ensure all allocated actions are performed and completed within the agreed timescales, escalation any potential issues as soon as they come to light.
