They are actively seeking a visionary Strategic Architect to lead the technology strategy and implementation of a strategic programme. This role demands a unique blend of strategic thinking, innovative problem-solving, technical expertise, and a keen understanding of commercial realities and opportunities. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive technology architecture strategy that supports and enables a strategic programme, ensuring technology investments deliver commercial value.

Your new role
Their business is at the forefront of identifying technology trends and driving innovation to support their strategic programmes. As a Strategic Architect, you will play a pivotal role in aligning IT architecture with their business strategy. You will serve as a key advisor to senior management on strategic technology decisions that have significant commercial implications.
In this role, you will be responsible for mitigating system risks and ensuring consistency and integration across our IT systems and infrastructure. You will lead the organisation through the implementation of new technologies, always with a focus on their commercial impact.Your expertise in technology architecture and estate planning will be crucial. You will assess the current technology landscape, identify gaps and opportunities, and develop a roadmap for optimising and modernising our technology infrastructure.
Leading the strategic programme, you will ensure that their systems and applications are aligned with industry best practices and capable of supporting their business growth and innovation. This will involve evaluating and selecting digital platforms, overseeing the integration of new technologies, and ensuring that our digital architecture is scalable, secure, and resilient.
Additionally, you will actively manage vendor relationships to drive value and align with our commercial objectives. This includes evaluating vendor solutions, negotiating contracts, and ensuring that vendors deliver on their commitments. You will work closely with the procurement team to identify and onboard new vendors that can contribute to our technology strategy and deliver superior commercial outcomes.
Overall, the successful candidate will be a strategic thinker, capable of aligning technology architecture and estate planning with business goals, leading digital platform transformations, and effectively managing vendor relationships to maximise commercial value

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, candidates will need a strong blend of technical and business acumen. A deep understanding of IT architecture, a proven track record in strategic planning and execution, and demonstrable commercial acumen are essential.
Strong leadership skills are crucial, along with the ability to effectively communicate complex technology strategies to a wide range of stakeholders. Translating these strategies into commercial terms is also a key requirement.
While a financial services background is not necessary, the ability to quickly understand the industry and grasp the economic dynamics of the wealth sector would be beneficial. Finally, bringing a fresh perspective, innovation, and a willingness to challenge the status quo will be highly valued in this role.
