Location: Hybrid (Remote/Office-based in Scotland)
Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum
Financial Accountant - Key Responsibilities:
- Auditing: Conduct thorough audits to ensure financial integrity and compliance with regulatory standards
- IFRS Compliance: Implement and maintain financial reporting standards in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
- Year-End Reporting: Manage and oversee the year-end financial closing process, ensuring accurate and timely reporting
- Financial Analysis: Provide detailed financial analysis and insights to support decision-making and strategic planning
- Budget Management: Assist in the preparation and management of budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with various departments and stakeholders to provide financial guidance and support
Financial Accountant - Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualified Accountant: Must hold a recognized accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CA)
- Auditing Experience: Proven experience in auditing within a public sector or similar environment
- IFRS Expertise: Strong knowledge and application of IFRS
- Year-End Proficiency: Demonstrated ability in managing year-end financial processes and reporting
- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail
- Communication Skills: Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels
