Technical Writer

Calling all tech-savvy Features Writers! Redwood is working for a leading creative agency and publishing house, who work with global organisations, and specialise in content creation, design and digital marketing, publishing market leading publications, focusing on a range of technical topics, including broadcast and media technology. This is a hybrid role with flexibility to work in the Cambridgeshire office 2 days a week or once a week/fortnight.

We are looking for a writer with at least one year's experience, ideally within the tech sector. You'll need to be a fast learner with a proactive approach to communication along with an enquiring mind, to research articles and contribute new feature ideas.

You will be working on two of the company's most dynamic titles, focusing on a range of topics including broadcast and media technology, AV, streaming, social media, esports, sustainability and sound technology etc.

No two days a re the same as you could be researching an article on future trends, one day, interviewing the CEO of a new start-up, attending conferences in the UK and further afield, or talking to commercial clients to help promote new products and services. This is a diverse, fast-paced and rewarding role that demands engaging copy to be created on sometimes complex subjects.

Who are we looking for?

You will be a writer with at least one year's experience, ideally on publications in the tech sector, or B2B media space, with a track record of delivering high-quality, well-researched content. You'll need to be a fast learner with great communication skills along with an enquiring mind to research articles and contribute new feature ideas. You will be a creative writer who has a magazine mentality and fundamentally understands how magazines are put together, plus the ability to come up with great ideas for content. You will be a confident networker as you will be travelling to conferences to source new products and write about them.
