Commissioning Engineer

World-leading manufacturer of machinery for the food and beverage industry need a Commissioning Engineer to install and plan the installation of new packaging and processing systems onto UK customer sites.

THE ROLE: You're working in a small team on each project - PLC programmers who design the PLC control software for each machine automation project, service engineers who do the electrical and mechanical installation. You commission the new machines for each project. First task- you'll be planning how to do the installation in the office, and then Commissioning the new machines and systems on UK customer sites. You'll check that the electrical and mechanical machine installation is correct then make PLC modifications, do any electrical reworking to make the new machines synchronise across the plant, electrical panel checks, check pumps, valves. Then you'll stay with the machine for a few production runs, do customer training, and handover to customer.

SKILLS: Electrical, PLC modifications, corrective actions, ability to work on site, understanding of machinery, automation. Food or beverage machinery service engineer or commissioning engineer or maintenance experience would be perfect.

LOCATION: Northampton, Rugby, Milton Keynes, Bedford area, Luton, Aylesbury --- all useful for getting to the office when you need to. Being centrally located will help you to get to the UK customer sites too.
