RM Recruit are delighted to be working in partnership for a dynamic Telford based organisation on the lookout for an excellent, experienced Management Accountant to join their team on a full-time, 6-month contract basis with the scope to become permanent. Our client is able to offer a flexible, remote working arrangement with the current office presence to be 2/3 times per month. The ideal candidate will be immediately available or available on a short notice.
You will work closely with the Financial Controller to provide detailed accounting and analytical support to operational staff to help them to understand financial performance and make effective financial decisions.
- Prepare detailed and accurate monthly management accounts
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliations
- Post prepayments, journals & accruals
- Prepare and assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts
- Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on financial data.
- Prepare and present financial information to senior management.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records.
- Maintain the general ledger and oversee accounting transactions.
- Implement and monitor internal controls to prevent errors and fraud.
The ideal candidate will be ACCA/CIMA qualified or part-qualified, with prior experience in a similar role. Advanced Excel skills are highly advantageous. You should be a confident communicator with a positive, personable nature, capable of establishing relationships with ease. Proficiency in producing management accounts and budget and forecasts is essential.
