Lead Frontend Engineer (React)

We are hiring a Lead Frontend Engineer to join our Supply Chain department.
Please note this is a Hybrid role. On-site office requirements, once every 4-6 weeks in our London and Nuneaton office.
About the role:
Our highly skilled Frontend Engineers sit at the heart of the business and are responsible for designing, building, and maintaining our platform solutions. As a Lead Frontend Engineer, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and backend engineers, to develop robust and scalable web applications. You will be responsible for designing and implementing user interfaces, optimizing performance, and ensuring the seamless integration of our Frontend components with the backend infrastructure. You will have a deep understanding of React and Typescript, knowledge of Next.js is highly beneficial.
Your Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable, stable, secure, and resilient apps that enhance the customer-mobile experience.
- Develop high-quality, responsive, and user-friendly applications using React, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Collaborate with the back-end engineers to build and maintain our applications.
- Write clean, efficient, and reusable code that adheres to industry best practices and coding standards.
- Conduct thorough unit testing and integration debugging to ensure optimal user experience performance and high-quality engineering is maintained.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience as a Lead Frontend Engineer, with a strong focus on React and its ecosystem and proficiency in TypeScript.
- Able to provide engineering solutions and offer design changes and feedback to the current codebase.
- Some knowledge of three.js or 3D modelling
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities & a passion for teamwork.
- Contributions to open-source projects or participation in the developer community.
