Key Duties/Areas of Responsibility
1. Carry out general building and premises maintenance this to include minor repair work
2. Make sure outside areas of the premises, parking areas, pathways and shrubbery are free from litter and are kept clean and tidy.
3. Undertake some gardening maintenance.
4. Undertake a range of Domestic Cleaning, this to include, high level cleaning, cleaning of equipment, shampooing carpets, hard surface floor cleaning and polishing.
5. Liaise with and direct trades people (Council and Contractor) when they are carrying out repairs.
6. Maintain effective repairs schedule and information.
7. Order supplies through support staff and receive goods, store and distribution throughout premises. Ensure supplies are maintained to correct stock levels.
8. Carry out checks on various equipment including fire alarm testing and security of building
9. Spread grit and clear snow during winter months. 10. Liaise with Building Manager EDS
Carrying out routine repair work to buildings

Understanding of health and safety requirements
Knowing about building security and equipment
Working with trades people and contractors
Working in an environment where literacy and numeracy skills have been demonstrated
2. Qualifications
NQF Level 1 qualification e.g. GCSEs Grades D-G, NVQs Level 1, GNVQs Foundation, City and Guilds Part 1
Or
Evidence of the equivalent level of knowledge gained through work experience.
