Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic merchandising plans aligned with business goals to maximize sales, margin, and stock levels.
- Lead category budget setting, ensuring precise management of sales forecasts, margin expectations, stock levels, and option counts.
- Collaborate closely with the buying team to ensure a cohesive approach to product selection and inventory management.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the merchandising team to optimise processes and enhance overall performance.
- Work cross-functionally with various departments, including marketing, operations, and supply chain, to ensure a seamless execution of merchandising strategies.
- Mentor and develop a high-performing merchandising team, fostering an environment of collaboration and innovation.
Required Experience:
- Proven experience in a senior merchandising role within a retail environment, preferably with international exposure.
- Strong strategic mindset with a track record of successful category management and budget setting.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to inform decision-making.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across functions.
