Responsibilities:
- Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a year 8 student, addressing challenging behaviour, SEMH needs, and learning disabilities.
- Collaborate seamlessly with the Alternative Provision team at our client school to implement personalized strategies for the student's academic and personal growth.
- Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere within the Alternative Provision, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment.
- Utilize effective behaviour management techniques to encourage positive behaviour, emotional well-being, and academic engagement.
- Engage actively with teaching staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to the student's progress.
- Deliver targeted interventions, adapting strategies to meet the unique needs and learning style of the individual student.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a Behaviour Mentor role, with a focus on supporting students with challenging behaviour, SEMH, and learning disabilities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating the ability to build trust and rapport with the student and collaborate effectively with the Alternative Provision team.
- Understanding of alternative provision settings and a commitment to creating a nurturing learning environment.
- Proactive and adaptable, capable of implementing creative solutions to address challenges.
