Walker Cole is searching for a Shift Engineer to join a mid-sized global pharmaceutical business in Essex. The Shift Engineer will be responsible for maintaining machinery and equipment within a facility, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime. Daily responsibilities include conducting regular inspections, troubleshooting technical issues, performing repairs, and coordinating with other staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations during their shift.
Further responsibilities as a Shift Engineer will be:
- Work with Line Management to investigate equipment/plant failures and identify means to prevent a recurrence.
- Ensure that the daily schedule is met by attending breakdowns on time and resolving issues effectively.
- Contribute to incident/deviation investigations to allow appropriate root cause analysis to be completed.
- Accountable for safely performing job tasks and complying with internal and external EHS requirements, policies, and programmes.
The successful Shift Engineer will have:
- Strong electrical and mechanical skills.
- Proven experience of maintenance engineering within a GMP environment.
- Proven experience in planned preventative maintenance.
