Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Trainee Credit Analyst to join our dynamic Credit Risk team. This entry-level role offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience and develop fundamental skills in credit analysis within a supportive and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist senior analysts in conducting thorough credit assessments of new and existing clients.

Analyse financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant data to evaluate creditworthiness.

Prepare comprehensive credit risk reports summarising findings and recommendations.

Monitor industry trends and economic developments that may impact credit risk.

Collaborate with other departments such as Relationship Managers and Legal to gather necessary information and ensure accuracy of credit evaluations.

Participate in credit committee meetings and provide insights based on analysis.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of credit evaluations and decisions.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field.

Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

A proactive attitude with a desire to learn and grow within the field of credit analysis.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior internship or work experience in finance, banking, or credit analysis.

Knowledge of financial modelling and risk assessment techniques.

Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
