Procurement Manager
Certain Advantage are recruiting on behalf of an ecommerce business for a Procurement Manager in Leeds. This is a permanent position requiring you to be onsite 3 days per week.
The Role
Working closely with Finance you will be responsible for developing procurement strategy and processes, so this is a great opportunity to help shape the future of this exciting business!
As Procurement Manager you will create and deliver an effective procurement strategy. This isn't just about reducing cost, however you will be expected to achieve savings through negotiation and vendor management.
You'll develop and maintain relationships with suppliers as well as introduce performance metrics and be responsible for addressing any performance issues as they come up.
Some more immediate activities will include supporting the implementation of a new purchasing system and assess the current processes to identify improvement opportunities.
Longer term you'll negotiate new contracts and be able to demonstrate the cost savings and efficiencies you've brought to the business.
What we're looking for in a candidate
- Ideally experience in the eCommerce industry.
- Ideally you'll hold some form of professional certification in procurement or supply chain management.
- Experience in developing and implementing procurement strategies.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to secure favourable terms.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of procurement software and tools.
- Deadline driven with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong understanding of supply chain management.
Even better if you'll also be able to offer;
- Familiarity with sustainable procurement practices.
- Previous experience in a start-up or fast-growing company environment.
