Interim HR Business Partner

We are delighted to be partnering with a leading HE client who have and interim HR Business Partner role opportunity available, due to maternity cover. This will be a temporary 12 month contract to start immediately. Salary circa £44k - Hybrid but you will need to be on site for a minimum of 2 days per week.

You will have a key strength in managing ER Employee Relations case work, from low level to more complex cases and also restructuring and transformation. Given the HR function is established you will have the opportunity to support continuous improvement and added value to support employee engagement.

This role will see you as a key part of the team where you will play a key role at regular management meetings where you will deliver workshops and training to managers as well as contributing to the operational input at these meetings. You will be commercially astute and quickly able to demonstrate the value you add.

You must have proven stakeholder management skills in order to be successful in this role which will require you to build credible and lasting building relationships, which will be a key catalyst in influencing and driving change within the business. You must be comfortable with complex ER cases and also have a proven background of working with the unions.

We are seeking a commercial HR professional who have hands-on, practical approach and can thrive in a busy and diverse environment. You will be expected to plan your time and travel across your designated area as needed however you will spend 2-3 days a week at their Northampton office.

HR Business Partner - About you

Ideally you will have worked within a Higher Education setting or public sector.

Used to a blended role where strategic and operational influence are both key

A proven background of working with unions would be useful but in no way essential.

You must have experience in restructuring projects.

The ability to work autonomously, to prioritise your time

Demonstrable skills in terms of up skilling and coaching managers

You need to be CIPD Level 7 qualified or equivalent.

A true generalist HR Business Partner background

Able to start a role ASAP and be happy to do an interim contract.
