SEN 1:1 Learning Support Asssitant
Are you passionate about supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges? We have a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated 1:1 SEN Learning Support Assistant to join a supportive team in Richmond Upon Thames
As a 1:1 SEN LSA, you'll provide personalised support to students, helping them thrive in a nurturing and inclusive learning environment. You'll work closely with teachers and other professionals to ensure that each student receives the best possible support for their educational and social development.
Key Responsibilities:
Offer one-on-one support to students with SEN, ADHD and SEMH needs.
Assist with implementing Individual Education Plans and behaviour management strategies.
Support students' educational and social growth under the guidance of the SENCO.
Contribute to creating a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to achieve optimal outcomes for students.
Required Qualifications:
Ideally, a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
Experience working with students who have SEMH needs.
GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
Prior experience in a similar role within an educational setting.
Knowledge and Skills:
Understanding of SEN and SEMH needs.
Ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Knowledge of behaviour management techniques
