Role: Catering/Kitchen Assistant
Location: Wittering, PE8
Pay rate: £17 per hour
Temporary: ASAP - 31/03/2025 (Could be extended)

Role:
A Catering/Kitchen Assistant is required for work in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for performing duties as required in a catering or service-related environment, as instructed by the Head Chef or managers. This will include but isn't limited to: food preparation, production, cleanliness and hygiene of equipment. It will also include mass catering events.
Skills:
Level 2 Food Safety Essential (or equivalent)
Excellent written and verbal English
NVQ or Apprenticeship in food preparation/handling cooking ideal and preferred, or relevant experience within hospitality, preparing and or cooking food.
Excellent time-keeping skills.
Keen eye for detail and diligent attitude.
The ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team.
Ability to maintain the highest standard of cleanliness in a work place(including allergen labelling and following rules & regs at Enclosure 1, The Food Safety Act 1990 and Contractor regulations).
Knowledge of Health and Safety in a catering establishment.
Ability to adhere to recipe cards, cooking methods and use of specified ingredients.
Be able to be in receipt and deal with deliveries, checking them and reporting of discrepancies or issues.
Administration skills.
Flexibility - able to perform catering and kitchen roles as required.
Must be happy to work shift patterns.
