Stock Controller – Doncaster

CVA is one of the leading auction houses in the UK, whilst predominantly known for being the most established HGV auctioneers in the country, they sell a wide range of assets across their regular sales programme that includes trucks & trailers, cars & vans, plant & machinery as well as holding several onsite retirement / dispersal sales each year. They are widely regarded as being at the front of industry innovation, representing a broad portfolio of clients ranging from owner operators and small businesses, though too some of Europe's largest blue-chip companies, banks & finance houses.

CVA are now looking for a Stock Controller to join their established team in Doncaster.

Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with Yard Manager to make sure there is a smooth and constant flow of equipment from point of entry through booking in and imaging system
  • Ensuring equipment is processed and available for advertising within given timescale
  • Liaise with front office/de-fleet team (valeters) with regards to different service levels and processes for vehicles arriving on site
  • Control receipt of plant items
  • Liaising with logistics office to ensure any plant items the transport company has been instructed to collect are what have arrived on site, Fleet No.s are correct etc. (if applicable)
  • Use CVA's bespoke administration system (Kingfisher) to cover booking in, imaging & general office administration
  • Assist Management Team in carrying out all operations i.e. Appraisals encouraging maximum market exposure to both vendors & buyers
  • Liaise with customers in person, via phone & e-mail
  • Travel between CVA sites as and when required to assist with admin etc.
  • Supporting the yard if/when required.

The Ideal Stock Controller:

  • Experience of Yard work and/or driving commercial vehicles
  • Confident and resourceful in the face of challenges
  • Knowledge of relevant standards, procedures and instructions
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Active participation in inventory audits
  • Excellent organization skills
  • The ability to work under pressure and to tight timescales
  • Strong knowledge of Office 365 (Word and Excel).

Hours:

  • Monday to Friday
  • 8am to 5pm
  • 42.5 hrs
  • £25,000
