UK 'On-Shore' Service Engineer - Large Reciprocating / Piston Engines / Generators - Marine / Power Gen - £35-40k salary plus travel/shift allowance - Rapidly Growing Business - Excellent progression opportunity.

Are you a CHP / Gas Engine / Generator / Diesel Engine / HGV Mechanic who has the ability to fully strip, rebuild and overhaul large reciprocating/piston engines?

Are you open to travelling across the UK if required?

Are you interested in working on large Marine Engines for ships at Port on a regular basis?

Would you be happy with a role where the basic + travel shift allowance are significant enough to guarantee earnings of £60k+ p/a every year

If so, this opportunity to join a rapidly growing organisation, who boast ownership of more service contracts for Power Gen in the North Sea than any other business in the UK, are adding to their onshore service team.

What you need..

Expereience of big engines - you need to be able to exhibit mechanical maintenance plus the ability to diagnose and repair marine type engines in port.

Previous experience of overhaul, strip down and fully re-building any type of large reciprocating/piston engines is hugely advantageous.

To be able to travel UK wide (vehicle provided) with the occasional overnight stay.

High attention to detail.

Experience in the CHP or marine sector would be advantageous

To have full right to live and remain in the UK without a visa or sponsorship

A full UK driving Licence

The role...

If you have a passion for engineering, especially reciprocating engines, our client are continuing to expand their service teams, looking for experienced, dependable engineers, helping them to support their growing customer base in marine, offshore, and power generation industries.

Working from the North East with regular trave to ports and harbours across the North of England and Scotland, you will be responsible for reactive maintenance on large vessels that have encountered engine trouble mid-voyage. You will also carry out generator and other power gen associated equipment across the regions.

Dealing with medium speed engines old and new, across many different industries means you should relish the excitement (and sometimes challenges) that this mix brings.

With customers working 24 hours a day, you will need to have the flexibility and commitment to react to their needs.

This role is home based, where you need to be available to travel across the country or to the workshop when required.
