Avanti Recruitment has partnered with a multi-national engineering company that is looking to add a firmware engineer to it's cross-functional R+D team in the Birmingham area. You'll work alongside electronic hardware and software engineers, being a crucial asset in bringing a brand new product to market that's not yet been done before. The new product uses innovative technologies such as BLE, UWB, power-over-ethernet, etc.
Essential experience:
Bringing a product through the full development life-cycle, from concept to production
Solid bare-metal firmware development experience ("C") for ARM platforms.
Experience with electronic design - circuit design, schematics, PCB design, etc.
Desirable experience:
Wireless systems - Bluetooth, IoT, WiFi, etc.
Experience with STM32s and 8-Bit MCUs
Ethernet
There's a salary between £40-50,000 on offer (DOE), with a great benefits package consisting of 24 days holiday exc. bank holidays, 7% pension contribution, half day Fridays, and life insurance worth 3x your annual salary. There's also room to work from home two or three days per week.
