Aspire People is seeking a dedicated and passionate Year 5 Teacher to join a reputable primary school in Kenilworth. This is a full-time position commencing in September 2024 and will run for the entire academic year. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the academic and social development of Year 5 students, ensuring they achieve their full potential in a supportive and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and deliver comprehensive lesson plans that cater to the diverse learning needs of Year 5 students, ensuring alignment with the National Curriculum.

Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere, managing student behaviour effectively to promote a safe and productive learning environment.

Utilise a variety of teaching methods and resources to engage students in active learning, covering all subjects with a focus on core areas such as English, Mathematics, Science, and Humanities.

Regularly assess and monitor student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.

Prepare and maintain accurate records of student performance and progress.

Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, providing regular updates on student progress and addressing any concerns or queries.

Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with educational best practices.

Support and participate in school events, activities, and clubs, contributing to the broader school community.

Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and the school leadership team to achieve common educational goals and enhance the overall school environment.

Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential

Experience teaching Key Stage 2, preferably Year 5.

Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and effective teaching practices.

Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

A passion for education and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.

Ability to engage and inspire young learners.

Enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
