Interim Sales Director

The Client
Our client is a high-growth, private-equity backed business that develops and sells services in to the Public Sector. They are looking to recruit an Interim Sales Director to lead their sales function and to play a pivotal role in optimising revenue generation processes, ensuring alignment across sales, marketing, finance, and customer delivery functions.

The Role
You'll work closely with the COO and senior leadership team to develop and execute revenue generation strategies aligned with company goals and Public Sector market dynamics. You'll lead a team of ten regionally focused sales professionals to identify opportunities for revenue enhancement and to formulate actionable plans to capitalise on market trends and customer insights. In order to achieve this, you will:

- Oversee sales operations activities, including sales planning, forecasting, pipeline management, and performance analysis.
- Oversee service delivery operations ensuring alignment with sales operations, focus on customer service and advocacy and service development aligned to changing customer needs.
- Implement best practices and tools to optimise sales efficiency, effectiveness, and scalability.
- Foster collaboration between sales and marketing teams to ensure alignment of revenue generation efforts.
- Establish key performance metrics and dashboards to monitor revenue performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Conduct regular analysis of revenue data and trends to inform strategic decision-making and drive continuous improvement.

The Candidate
The successful candidate will be a customer-centric sales leader with extensive knowledge of leading teams that sell in to the Public Sector, understanding the nuances and timelines that come with that market. You will have:

- a proven track record of success in revenue operations or a related role, with a record of success in revenue management, sales operations, or business strategy.
- strong analytical skills and proficiency in revenue forecasting, financial modelling, capacity planning and performance analysis.
- extensive sales team leadership experience with the ability to drive cross-functional collaboration and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
- a strategic mindset with a focus on innovation, continuous improvement, and achieving measurable results.
- experience of working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; familiarity with procurement, SaaS, or technology industries is a plus.
- a high level of proficiency in CRM software (e.g. HubSpot), and able to adopt opportunities for automation to increase the efficiency of processes. Ideally able to build strategies around workflows,

sequences, and tasks within the CRM.

Location
The role is based in the North of England, but the role will be largely remote.
