Mid-level Azure SRE - Fully remote (UK) - .NET / Blazer skills required

I'm working with a well-established SaaS software house to find a fully remote Azure SRE. Their DevOps automation processes and tooling have been built and managed by their Software Engineers over the last couple of years and they now want to hand this off to a new dedicated SRE team. Your role will focus on making their SaaS platforms as stable as possible for their blue-chip customers.

As a Mid-level Azure SRE you will dig into logs and spot issues before they become a problem, automating things that need automated and making recommendations to the Development team whilst building better monitoring and alerting systems for the future. You will troubleshoot issues and trace them back to source using tools like Application Insight Service to diagnose and investigate problems. You must be able to recognise an exception and stack-trace and identify whether it is an Azure source or something in their services / code.

To do this you will need to understand service bus retry models, inter-service call methods, basic HTTP protocols and how databases operate.

They are looking for an Azure SRE with basic C# .NET Coding skills - you won't be writing production code but small auxiliary apps for automations such as portals to manage configuration data built using Blazer.

Tech Stack:

Azure Cloud, Azure DevOps pipelines, BICEP, ARM, Azure CLI, Azure Container App Services, Azure Service Bus,

C#.NET, Blazer, SQL Server, HTTP Protocols - intermediate coding skills required

Location: Fully remote - meet-ups in the Cambridge area are optional every 2 months.

Salary: Circa £70,000 + on-call allowance (circa £4k) + bonus + benefits + 25 days holiday

N.B. - You will be required to be on call 1 week in 3 (but on average they are currently only getting 1 call per week).
