Junior CAD Designer/Office Administrator

Our client is seeking a motivated, enthusiastic and bright individual who is seeking a trainee role that will provide superb training and all of the benefits of working within a small company.

The position could suit someone seeking their first or second job within a furniture design company.

The role is designed to support the company's design and administrative processes and to ensure that the rest of the team has adequate support to work efficiently. This is a role that can evolve within the business and requires a versatile employee, who is happy to assist and add value to the organisation, plus be proactive and look for areas of the business which could be improved, as well as implement ways to do so.
Role Requirements:
Ideally graduated with a 2:2 or above in a relevant design-based degree.
Experience of working with CAD software to create technical drawings and renders (training will be given in the company CAD software).
Confident talking on the telephone and providing good customer service.
Able to conduct showroom appointments with customers, once familiar with our product ranges.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Great attention to detail, is essential to avoid costly mistakes.
Process driven and able to use initiative when required.
Be able to follow processes already set in place by the company.
Be a team player, with the ability to manage assigned tasks independently
Having a good spatial awareness within design would be beneficial.
Ability and willingness to assist in all areas of the business including admin and warehouse when required.
Strong computer skills required (Microsoft Office).
An interest in social media.
Multitasking skills essential.
Administration experience useful but training will be given.
Role Responsibilities:
You will produce detailed technical drawings and estimates with a high level of precision, and according to the sales team's specifications. You will keep customers informed with regards to progress of their order and deal with customer enquiries and administration. You will work closely with the sales team to convert estimates into orders.
You will also be responsible for answering emails and telephone enquiries, inputting business information into a bespoke IT system, logging, evaluating, and distributing new customers' leads, diary management and office scheduling, dealing with customers' order processing and payments, office postal duties and updating retail and suppliers' price lists and other office data. General office administration, e.g., ordering stationery, kitchen supplies, stamps, etc and social media posting.

This is an office-based (NOT REMOTE OR HYBRID) role located in the Twickenham area.

The hours are from Monday to Friday - 9.00am to 5.30pm with one hour's lunchbreak.
