Chartered Financial Planner - Manage Existing HNW Clients Across Kent - Up to £100k Basic Salary

Posted by Financial Divisions.

Our client, a Chartered independent wealth planning firm with offices throughout Kent, is seeking a Chartered Financial Planner to manage a portfolio of high-net-worth clients from a retiring adviser. This firm, known for its whole-of-market financial advice, caters to HNW retirees, accumulators, local families, and SME owners in Sussex, Kent, and London. Their client base consists of 1,000 clients with assets ranging from £200k to £5m. Advisers provide expert guidance on pensions, investments, tax planning, cash flow modelling, retirement planning, protections, and some esoteric schemes such as VCT and EIS.

The firm has a strong reputation, with numerous awards and significant engagement in local community events and charitable causes. Exceptional customer satisfaction is their top priority, reflected in their high client retention rate, with relationships spanning over 20 years. The support team includes experienced pooled Administrators and Paraplanners across two offices, all encouraged to develop professionally and personally through ongoing CPD and industry exams.

The Managing Director is establishing a new role for a Chartered Financial Planner (or someone close to completion) to manage a segment of their existing client book, primarily based in Kent. This is a servicing role suitable for a candidate with a background in independent wealth planning and experience with complex cases. The role includes dedicated admin and paraplanning support, as well as a dedicated Compliance Manager.

The salary for this position is £70k to £100k, negotiable based on experience, plus bonuses. The benefits package includes a pension, death in service cover, income protection, a medical cash plan, and 25 days of holiday plus bank holidays. The primary responsibilities include managing an existing book of business from a retiring adviser and receiving full paraplanning and administration support from a pooled team.
