The Employer and Opportunity:

Dot Recruit is excited to partner with a leading multinational manufacturing company to find their next Cost Accountant.

This innovative and globally active company is all about continuous improvement and staying ahead of the competition. They're on the lookout for a dedicated Cost Accountant to join their team and help them achieve even greater success.

The Role:

As a Cost Accountant, you'll be the go-to person for managing product costing processes for all European entities, following global standards. Your job will include monitoring costs, spotting discrepancies, and fixing them by setting up effective control systems. You'll handle everything from material and labor costs to overhead, currency, and transfer pricing.

You'll support both local and global teams with your analytical skills. Key tasks include updating cost models, validating costs, managing intercompany transactions, and doing monthly inventory reconciliations.

You'll also prepare reports, analyze profit and loss impacts, ensure compliance with policies, and help with budgeting and forecasting.

Additionally, you'll manage general accounting tasks, prepare VAT returns and other reports, and advise on financial standards.

Your role will be crucial in driving continuous improvement and taking on various projects to boost efficiency.

The Requirements:

To thrive in this role, you need to be a qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, or ACCA) with a finance-related degree or equivalent. Experience in Cost Accounting and General Accounting, especially in manufacturing, is essential.

You should be great with Microsoft Excel, experienced with large ERP systems (like Great Plains or Oracle), and have strong analytical and communication skills. Being detail-oriented, having good judgment, and a passion for continuous improvement are key. You also need to work well with different teams.
